About

Elizabeth Scott Author of fantasy books for kids

Elizabeth Scott was born and grew up in New England.  She studied literature, creative writing and performing arts at University.

She  moved to London at the end of her degree course and soon fell in love with the British countryside and it's mythical legends.

Her books reflect her love of nature and years of study around different myths and legends.

She has also been a primary school teacher for many years and loves nothing more than to engage children in their imaginations and creativity.

She combines her love of writing and teaching experience to do workshops with children which encourages them to write and find their own expression of creativity.

'The Magician's Way' was written on the train (5:19) between Brighton and London Bridge while she was teaching in London.  It was never the early morning writing session that was a problem doing this, just the crowded carriage on the way home!

The book is filled with ideas and shorter stories that she had developed over the years and then all seemed to land in one story.

'The Magician's Way' is the first in a series of adventures that Elizabeth Scott has written.  As we delve further into the series her concern for the natural world and understanding of myth and legends from a wide variety of cultures emerges. The result is we all feel connected with how important a place like The Kingdom of the three Valleys might be in our world today.
